Hi there, and welcome to Winter Sharks! This is a blog updated once in a blue moon to discuss my passion for writing instruments and the post, along with the occasional poorly written essay. Due to ongoing commitments and budgetary restraints, I don’t have the resources I would like to in order to review products. However, I will do my best to keep you, the reader, updated on what I do have and enjoy.
The question I ask when I review a product is whether or not it works suitably for me in a given situation. I try not to give negative reviews if I can help it; I always want to find a niche that something can fill. However, as you might imagine, there are definitely products out there that just don’t work no matter how hard you work at it. I attempt to be as unbiased as possible, but I want to share with you my honest experiences with everything I review. As with all things on the Internet, your experiences with the exact same products could be wildly different. My review should not be the only one you read; rather, I hope that you take it as a piece of the puzzle, an addition to other information you gather.
I am not sponsored by any company. If you are a distributor looking for someone to review a product, I will not take compensation for a review. However, I will work to ensure that a product is reviewed in a timely manner. I think that’s only fair!
I want to be as open as I possibly can about how I get the products that are featured on this site. I will disclose immediately and clearly whether or not this item was provided to me at no charge. If I am given a product by a company, I insist on receiving the product as a loaner item only. I am personally uncomfortable with the idea of having an item given to me when I’m just a regular ol’ person doing some reviews on the Internet.
I am a Californian of Taiwanese descent, born and raised in the South Bay. I’m a graphic designer, writer, junior coder, communications jockey, and ice hockey player. I’m currently pursuing a humanities B.A. at a public research university in Northern California.
